According to the current timeline, the shoot is ready to begin by the end of 2025.

Speaking about the project, Shweta Tripathi shared why this film is so close to her heart. “It’s not just about producing a film. It’s about telling a story that needs to be told. Queer love stories deserve more representation, and they should be handled with honesty and beauty,” she said.

For Tripathi, the personal connection runs even deeper as this marks her debut as a producer, making the project doubly special.

She also expressed her excitement about collaborating with Tillotama Shome. “Having Tillotama on board elevates this entire experience. She’s not only one of the finest actors we have, but also someone I admire tremendously. We’ve been hoping to work together for a while, and this feels like the perfect project to finally do that.”

Tillotama Shome is known for choosing roles that break convention and reflect real, layered characters. From her international breakout in ‘Monsoon Wedding’ to her powerful performances in ‘Sir’, ‘A Death in the Gunj’, and ‘Shadowbox’, she has consistently championed cinema that pushes boundaries.

Her work in series like ‘Delhi Crime’, ‘The Night Manager’, and ‘Paatal Lok’ has further received appreciation.

Director Sanjoy Nag, meanwhile, brings a distinct sensibility to the table. His first film, ‘Memories in March’, explored grief and acceptance through the lens of a mother discovering her deceased son’s sexuality.
